Roots

SFC was born in Christchurch, New Zealand in 1997 by Reuben Yeoman. Since then SFC has gone global and become a giant global organization with chapters in Canada, USA, Japan, UK, Switzerland, France and connections in Australia

Mission

We exist to be a bridge that connects the snowriding culture to

Jesus Christ, partnering with the local church

The Snowriding culture includes Christian and non-Christian riders alike, we exists to lead people to the love of Christ through our witness on and off the hill. We also exists to disciple and train Christian riders, to encourage and spur each other on in our Faith and our walk with the Lord

The local Church includes Churches and outreaches in our mission field, as well as the body of Christ as a whole.

“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me [Jesus]. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age” – Matthew 28:18b-20

Core Values

Faith – our faith is grounded in Biblical truth. We pursue a lifestyle of prayer and worship.

Missional Living – just like Jesus we meet people where they are, both physically and spiritually.

Community – we intentionally connect people to the global network of Christian riders and the body of Christ.

Discipleship – we pass on our Biblical values and beliefs to Christian riders, encouraging them to grow in their faith.

Serving – we serve each other, the local communities we live in and the snowriding culture.

Fun – God is fun. Riding is fun. We like fun.

We dream of…

A snowriding culture that revolves around Jesus Christ

A time when riders from around the world will be part of the family of God, helping each other, serving each other

A snowriding culture that is free from addictions, that riders would have hope and freedom

A culture that glorifies God in all it does

A culture that is passionate about helping those in need

Resort towns and communities that have been transformed by Jesus Christ. That people from all over the world would be drawn to them and experience Jesus.

Snowboarders For Christ is an out reach to the Snowboarding and Skiing communities of New Zealand. If you are passionate about riding the snow and sharing the gospel then we would love to hear from you! We are always open to new people and new ideas.
